About Our Adults Sailing  Courses:

All the courses are taken in monohull dinghies single-handed or double-handed and each course is completed in a minimum of 12 hours spread over a series of 4 sessions.

You can learn to sail very quickly, provided the equipment is right for you and the challenge is suitable. Your instructor will sign off each skill as you complete it, once you’ve completed all the skills in each syllabus a certificate will be issued.

Level 1:

Begginers Sailing Course

This course provides a short introduction to sailing for novices. By the end of the course, you will have a basic understanding of dinghy-handling techniques and background knowledge. You may be sailing single-handed with an instructor onboard or the instructor close to you in a safety boat.​

Level 3:

Advanced Sailing Course 

Your next step is to really sail more efficiently. This course bridges the gap between the first 2 levels and then the 5 further advanced levels. It helps to further develop your techniques and have a taster of what the advanced levels have to offer such as; Racing, Sailing with a spinnaker, introduction to charts and the buoyage system.

Level 2

Intermediate Sailing Course

In this course you will be developing the techniques to sail independently and improving sailing maneuvers. It will be assumed that every student starting this course has already mastered the practical skills and absorbed the background knowledge required for “Level 1- Start Sailing”. It is highly recommended to practice between courses.
