Terms and Conditions

This is to ensure clarity, openness, and fairness. They state our obligations to you regarding every aspect of your training package from the moment you book to the moment you arrive at our location. Similarly, they state your commitments to us when you choose to book or train with us.

 

Many of these are flexible though and we would rather have happy customers than anything else!

 

1. PAYMENTS

No booking can be regarded as confirmed until registration is complete (this form), and full payment of the activity is done.

 

2.CANCELLATIONS

2.1. By Student

 If you cancel a booking you have made with us, the course fee is non-refundable and cannot be applied to another course or date.

If cancellation occurs at least 60 days prior to the scheduled course date then, every effort will be made to fill the places, and if successful, a cancellation fee of 10% will be applied and the balance of your money will be refunded.

​

Should you need to leave the course before it is complete, due to sickness, family emergency, or any other reason, no refunds or adjustments can be made for any unused portion of the course. However, we will try our best to reschedule your course with the next group if there is an available spot.

2.2. By Kuwait Sailing School

We reserve the right to cancel any of our courses due to operational reasons. In this event, all fees will be refunded unless alternative dates are acceptable.

​

We cannot take responsibility for the weather conditions on the day and cannot make refunds for sailing time lost due to weather. In the event of severe weather forcing cancellation for safety reasons, you will be given the option of alternative dates subject to availability.

The decision whether or not to sail is always the responsibility of the Instructor on duty at the time.

​

- We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to terminate without further notice the booking arrangements of any client who refuses to comply with the instructions or orders of Kuwait Sailing School staff or another responsible person whose behaviour in their opinion is likely to cause distress, damage, danger or annoyance to other clients, staff, any third party or to property. Upon such termination, our responsibility for your booking ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.

3. ALTERATIONS 

Kuwait Sailing School will wherever possible, try to arrange any alterations you may request after the booking has been made. Alteration requests must be made more than 4 weeks in advance of your course starting date.

4. IMAGES

Kuwait Sailing School may from time to time take photographs/videos of your training and the use of this data is solely for the purpose of training, promoting, and publicising Kuwait Sailing School events through our literature, websites, Social media platforms, press or TV.

 

Clients/parents/guardians will always be consulted prior to this.

 

5. RESTRICTIONS

Kuwait Sailing School and its staff are responsible for the safe conduct of your course. They alone shall decide whether or not the activities are available, or conditions are safe to use a particular craft/equipment.

 

 

6. HEALTH & SAFETY

Safety is of paramount importance in all of our activities. Watersport activities are, by their very nature hazardous and clients and their guardians must accept that there are risks and the inevitable bumps and scrapes. We ask all our clients to comply with all safety and general instructions given by our staff.

 

For safety reasons, it is compulsory for all clients to wear floatation devices when using our equipment. Kuwait Sailing School reserves the right to refuse permission to participate for any client not wearing floatation devices.

 

It is the client/parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure appropriate clothing is worn and/or available for their sailing activity in all weather conditions.

 

7. MEDICAL INFORMATION

Clients participating in our activities must expect to be involved in adventurous and strenuous activities. Clients must be in general good health and must satisfy themselves that the activity is within their abilities.

 

Clients must make a true and accurate declaration of their health when booking and must make Kuwait Sailing School aware of any medical conditions they have. Kuwait Sailing School reserves the right to refuse a booking on medical grounds.

 

Any medical conditions that a participant may have must be fully disclosed

(1) at the time of booking with Kuwait Sailing School ( this form )

(2) to the instructor on the training activity.

 

8.SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited on any of our vessels/equipment. 

  

9.PERSONAL PROPERTY

Kuwait Sailing School cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to any personal belongings whilst attending Kuwait Sailing School training. Please ensure that your valuables are kept in a safe place and not in changing rooms or on the boat.

Please do not take valuables with you on the water (such as car keys, mobile phones, expensive sunglasses) we can take no responsibility for valuables, even when handed into our care.
