Youth Stage 1 - Weekends

Required experience: None

Minimum duration: a minimum of 12 hours split over 4-6 days

Minimum age: 8 years old

Content: Launching and recovery, sailing across the wind, turning around, steering and basic parts of the boat

Certificate issuing criteria: Able to sail across the wind, steer and understand the basic principles of sailing

Swiming skills: not required, however the student should be confident in open water.

>>The day you will select is your starting date and the course will be the same time each Friday for 4-6 consecutive Fridays. This is weather dependent sport; therefore, sessions may be postponed if the weather doesn’t allow. The instructor will always be in touch with you to inform you of any changes.
